le mot d'Arawak Market
Do you feel the need to escape before your morning meeting, to feel the warm rays of the sun on your skin?
I, Café Chaulet Bonifieur, will take you to a faraway land, to discover my region and its history. So leave your passport and suitcase in the cupboard. All you need is your curiosity and your sharp sense of taste.
Dear traveller, I welcome you to Guadeloupe. You have arrived in a "sacred land". According to the first inhabitants of Guadeloupe, the Kalinagos, the island is one of the last remaining parts of the 'Vanished Continent'.
With a biodiversity unique in the world, it is on these mythical lands that I, "Café Chaulet Bonifieur", grow. You will find me more precisely in the heart of the golden triangle of Guadeloupe, between the communes of Trois-Rivières, Baillif and Pointe-Noire, in the "Côte sous le vent". I thrive between 25°C and 30°C degrees.
The unusual environment in which I grow makes me an exceptional product! When I reach maturity, careful hands pick me one red seed at a time. My beans are then dried and roasted in the "Musée du Café", created by the Chaulet family. Made from the Arabica Typica species, my aroma is finely fruity. My sweetness has the astonishing power to crush the bitterness!
Fine gourmets, such as Monsieur Philippe Jobin, agree that I am "one of the best vintages in the world". And you who do not know me yet, I am not sure of the words you will use to describe me. But I invite you to discover me, you will be amazed!
Some may call me a West Indian café, others a Guadeloupe café, but I am above all a Chaulet café. I transport you to an exceptional place combining heritage and sharing, tradition and passion, change of scenery and sensation!
Have a good trip!
