le mot d'Arawak Market
My flour is made from an exotic fruit called "breadfruit", which is green in colour and round in shape. Its skin is honeycombed and its flesh is white and slightly sweet. A real natural delight, as there are so many in Guadeloupe.
I am made by Nassiéra Talcone, in her workshop "Nassy Douceurs", located in the commune of Saint-François. My great advantage is that I am an artisanal product, 100% agricultural and Guadeloupean, without any preservatives or additives.
So don't hesitate to try me, you will be helping to promote the island's heritage, while providing you with a healthy, nutritious and very high quality food.
By the way, allow me to inform you that I am a gluten-free flour, rich in starch and fibre. My distinctive taste will personalise your dishes with originality.
TASTING TIP :
What to do with breadfruit flour? Generally speaking, substitute it for your wheat flour. This opens up a myriad of possibilities: cakes, cakes, pancakes, fritters, accras, bokits. Have fun testing it in your favourite recipes, it will bring you a lot of softness.
A useful note: it has a high rate of absorption of liquids, so divide the weight by two. Note: 100 g of wheat flour = 50 g of bread flour.
