Bielle, the small distillery, distilled this old rum on Marie-Galante, an island in the Guadeloupe archipelago.  The part of the ageing in white wine barrels brings this pastry touch which makes of this pure cane juice a beautiful entry in the world of the agricultural rums. Nose: Rainwater, lime that turns to yellow lemon juice in the fridge, fresh cane and pastry. In short, a zesty lemon meringue pie in the rain.
Mouth: a greedy and fat attack with flaked almonds, mascarpone, egg cream, cinnamon galore, iodine and citrus fruits but in the background.
Finish: Drier but the aftertaste is still fat and spicy. Meringue and lime zest are present.
