SCEA Orange is first and foremost the story of a sibling group, Joel, Patrick and Alain RACON, who share the same passion for Guadeloupe's "Caribbean" orange. I'm Patrick, and I grew up with my two brothers in the commune of Bouillante in Guadeloupe. Since our earliest childhood, we've lived in this agricultural environment, where my father planted his oranges on the family banana farm. Alain was chosen by our great-uncle PAUL and inherited the recipe for making "Vind'or". And so, around 1986, the first sketches of the Orange pays cultural development project were born. In February 2001, the company "SCEA ORANGE" was created, with 4 partners, my brothers and I, and Alain's wife Armelle, until 2019, when Alain passed away. The family business respects the traditional know-how passed down from generation to generation, with the aim of preserving the values of yesteryear. Our project aims to promote the Orange Pays in all its forms. Since the planting of a Creole-style orange orchard, the oranges have been transformed into a natural, high-quality product that respects the environment.
