My name is Mariano and I was born in Anse-Bertrand, a commune in the north of Grande-Terre in Guadeloupe. With a CAP in refrigeration and air conditioning, nothing predestined me for the manufacture of agro-processed products.

In 2003, I started selling coconut-based sweets on the beaches to the delight of tourists. Very quickly, after the success of my sales and under the advice of my friends, but also of my customers, I decided to become a craftsman in order to produce my own sweets and so I created the GWACO brand. I put all my energy into choosing the fruit I use to make my products.

Through GWACO, I'm developing a range of products that are additive-free, preservative-free and 100% natural. The manufacturing process is traditional, which means that we get a quality product that retains all the flavour of the fruit.
